He’s able

O corinho He’s able foi composto por Paul E. Paino nos anos 1950. Um missionário veterano no Líbano, co-fundou a Carroll Road Christian Church e estabeleceu a Calvary Temple Church em Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ordenado pelas Assembleias de Deus, ele serviu como pastor e ocupou cargos de liderança denominacional. A Calvary Temple Church cresceu e construiu um santuário de 2.200 lugares.

Teu Destino é a Glória

Hino de encorajamento bem como agradecimento pela salvação.

A letra originalmente foi escrita por Louise M. Rouse, de Cincinatti. Para essa poesia, Dora Boole (c.1945-1875), filha adotiva de Rev. William H. Boole e Eunice Godwin, compôs a música. Seu pai, W. H. Boole era um pastor metodista em Nova York e líder do movimento de temperança e de Santidade.

O hino foi publicado pela Biglow & Main em 1873 no hinário Winnowed Hymns sob o título “Full Salvation”. Também é conhecido por outro título, “Precious Savior thou hast saved”. Mais tarde, Ira Sankey popularizou o hino em seus hinários.

Foi semitraduzido ao italiano no hinário “Inni ed Salmi Spirituali” por Massimiliano Tosetto com o título “Alza, alza la bandiera” e creditado a “Miss Dora Boole”. Mais tarde, apareceria em português “Oh Levanta a Bandeira”, depois revisado com o título “Teu Destino é a Glória”. A alusão bíblica é de Hb 12:12-14.
